Gobik Factory Team unveils its signature jersey
The renewed Gobik Factory Team has presented its five bikers and collaborators at the preview of the Mediterranean Epic in a launch that has also been marked by the presentation of its new jersey, a new piece signed by Portuguese artist Helio Bray.
We wanted someone from outside cycling to work on this very special design for the brand," said Albert Medrano, Head of Marketing at Gobik, "someone who would bring a different point of view, and with the desire to create communication synergies between the worlds of sport and art."
Helio Bray is a Lisbon-born artist with extensive experience with all kinds of brands who has made graffiti the starting point of his career. "We really like his fresh style, which is reflected all over the world, also the result of mixing materials and techniques, such as pointillism" continues Medrano, who highlights that "the natural environment in which MTB takes place is very well reflected in the play of green of the jersey combined with the ferrous colour of the bib shorts."
Five bikers for an extensive calendar
On the sporting side, Marc Miraball, head of the team, together with Óscar Valdepeñas, explained that "the objectives of the Gobik Factory Team are to be the biggest and best possible ambassador of the brand every day and everywhere, seeking to promote values such as sacrifice, perseverance, gratitude and passion through cycling and competition."
The Gobik Factory Team riders for 2023 are Óscar Carrasco, Pablo Garrido, Sergi Arnau, Alex Sempere and the 2021 Spanish XCM Open champion, Arantxa Salvadó.
"All of them stand out because they put their heart and soul into every kilometre and make the brand they represent proud. The team will not only compete and try to achieve great results, but will also transmit enthusiasm and excitement to its fans, making them part of the great Gobik family," concluded Marc.
The calendar starts with the Mediterranean Epic, followed by the Andalucía Bike Race, the Algarve Bike Challenge, the Vuelta a Ibiza MTB, La Rioja Bike Race, the Spanish XCM Championship, Colina Tris
Valuable partnerships with the Factory Team
To carry out this programme, the Gobik Factory Team will be sponsored by Lapierre, Racing Parts, HJC and RAW Superdrink.
The bike brand has provided our bikers with the XR RACE 9.9 model, the fastest and lightest full suspension XC bike designed by the brand, signalling Lapierre's return to the top level of Cross-Country.
The machines are mounted on wheels from Racing Parts, which has supplied sets of the M27 BOOST RS carbon racing model plus training wheels, in this case the MA26 BOOST on the front wheels and the MA26 BOOST XD for the rears.
Meanwhile, HJC provides its IBEX 2.0 helmet, characterised by its lightness and comfort, designed to provide optimum ventilation thanks to its unique shape, integrating the Venturi Dynamics system that seeks to balance air force resistance and ventilation.
RAW Superdink will provide the isotonic drink for the whole season, in different flavours (lemon-lime, orange-mango and blueberry-açai). This product helps to replenish the electrolytes needed for beneficial, sugar-free hydration.

2023 will see the brand dressing both the male and female teams of one of the longest-standing international cycling squads, the Movistar Team, thus continuing Gobik’s trajectory of success in cycling at the highest level, with the most significant win to date being that of Tadej Pogačar in the 2021 Tour de France.
Eolo Kometa Cycling Team completes the brand’s presence on the international male stage, while the French women’s team, FDJ Suez-Futuroscope, begins its second season with the Spanish label.
