Two top-10 finishes, another top-20 result and impressive performances under demanding high-altitude conditions saw the Lapierre PXR Racing Team leave the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Andorra with plenty of momentum heading into the next round.
Strong performances at high altitude
The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Andorra once again challenged riders with one of the toughest race weekends of the season. Racing at more than 2,000 metres above sea level, competitors faced thin air, steep climbs and intense heat throughout the weekend. The Lapierre PXR Racing Team rose to the occasion, delivering a consistent and determined performance across the entire squad.
Front-row starts after impressive Short Track racing
The weekend got off to a strong start during Friday's Short Track (XCC). Despite a brief rain shower before the race, the course remained fast and rewarded confident riding.
Nicole Koller continued her outstanding XCC form with an impressive fourth-place finish, securing another front-row start for Sunday's XCO race. Anne Terpstra followed in seventh, giving Lapierre two riders on the front row. Caroline Bohé finished 17th to earn first choice on the third starting row, while Tobias Lillelund gained valuable race experience in his first Short Track appearance of the season.
Double top-10 finish in the Olympic Cross Country
Sunday's XCO race rewarded the team's strong preparation. Nicole Koller crossed the finish line in ninth place, recording another top-10 result and maintaining seventh place in the overall World Cup standings thanks to her remarkable consistency throughout the season.
Anne Terpstra backed up her front-row start with her first top-10 finish of the year, claiming tenth place after another composed and competitive ride.
Caroline Bohé battled through a difficult race to finish 21st and add more valuable World Cup points to her season tally.
Tobias Lillelund continues his impressive progress
Tobias Lillelund once again demonstrated his growing confidence on the world stage. After a patient opening phase, the young Dane steadily increased his pace, overtaking 24 riders and improving his lap times throughout the race to secure another strong 20th-place finish.
His performance highlights the impressive progress he has made this season and confirms his ability to compete consistently at the highest level.
